I don’t usually spend my Sundays hanging around train stations, but Barcelona’s Sants Estacio is not your average train station.
It’s located just at the end of my street and I’m fascinated by it. It doesn’t seem to have the stress of train stations back home in the UK. People actually seem happy to be here. It’s a destination. People loiter, enjoying the sunshine, playing with their kids in the park next to it. And the taxi drivers – there are just so many of them!
All of these photos are from today (Sunday, November 19, 2017). It was warm, much warmer than it’s been lately, and people were out making the most of it. Including me.
I hope you enjoy them and that they give you a sense of everyday life in Barcelona, beyond the touristy city centre and the beaches.
