Recommended Accommodation for Your Gower Photography/Videography Workshop

Hello!

If you’ve booked one of my videography/photography workshops on the Gower peninsula in south Wales (find out more here if you haven’t already), then congrats! I can’t wait to meet you and start shooting!

I’m assuming you’ll need somewhere to stay while you’re in Gower, so I’ve put this little list of recommendations together. Feel free to book something else, of course, but maybe just let me know before you do just so I can see if the location will work.

The Estuary Bar and Rooms (Penclawdd)

The Estuary Bar and Rooms Penclawdd, North Gower, South Wales, UK

This is a fantastic property with clean modern rooms. There’s a small bar/pub on the ground floor, as well the famous “GG’s ice cream parlour.

What’s more, there’s a fantastic chip shop just across the road as well as a supermarket, which makes it very convenient. It’s also located right at the end of my street, which means you don’t have far to stroll to and from our video editing sessions at my home studio.

Prices from around £80 a night with breakfast included. Free parking.

Western House B&B (Llangennith)

Western House B&B Llangennith, Gower Peninsula, South Wales, UK

This is one of the best B&Bs on the Gower – in one of the very best locations. It’s within walking distance of the famous Llangennith surf beach, where you’ll find a small shop and Eddy’s Bistro/Take-away (they do a mean breakfast). The legendary King’s Head pub is also up just a hop and a skip up the road.

Rhossili Bay and its iconic Worm’s Head tidal island (where we can hopefully film/photograph seals, dolphins and wild ponies) is not far away either, making it a good base for your workshop.

I’d suggest staying on a couple of days after your workshop so you can do some surfing and site-seeing!

Prices from around £75 a night with breakfast included. Free parking.

Mumbles Village

This little fishing village is an ideal place to spend a few days and has everything from pubs, restaurants and ice cream parlours to boutique shops and beaches galore. There are a few small hotels around and lots of private self-catered accommodation options.

Have a browse on Booking.com and let me know if you have any questions.

It’s a great place to shoot too!

Staying a Little Longer in Gower?

If you’re coming to the Gower peninsula for your holidays (and not just for your photography/videography workshop with me) then I’d recommend checking out my guide to the best beaches on the Gower peninsula.

For each beach I have made a few recommendations for nearby accommodation – any of which would make for an ideal base for our workshop together.
