Alternative title: “Post-Apocalyptic Pumpkin Patch”
Even here in semi-rural Wales, life has become Americanised. That’s not a complaint, just an observation. When I was a kid we didn’t even really celebrate Halloween, let alone visit local farms to “pick our own pumpkin”. But wow, what a great thing to do with your child – we loved it.
This particular visit was to Gower Fresh Christmas Tree Farm (Gower Peninsula, Swansea). We’ll be back in a few weeks/months to pick our own tree, I’m sure. To pet the reindeer and queue for hours to sit on Santa’s satin-clad knee. And then, in next summer, we’ll go to pose for pictures in the sunflower fields and lavender carpets.
I’m deep into family life. My travel days feel like distant memories, but I’m happier than ever.
Anyhow, here are a few fun little snaps caught with my beloved Fujifilm XT4 and 23mm f/s – still my favourite “go anywhere, shoot everything” camera setup.
