The latest brewpub to grace Barcelona’s booming craft beer scene…
The Stones jangle through the air, the twang of Richards’ sping-spangled licks piercing the honk of bearded cologne, the fresh-cut wood still sweet and fresh. And the light bounces around the room, reflecting off the stainless steel beer vats where they brew their beautiful blonde Riba and Prova beers. I like it here.
The crowd swells thick and fast, full of folks I’ve seen elsewhere on previous beer-sipping adventures in BCN, patiently waiting at the bar, four-deep with thirsty punters.
A sensible row of eight taps offer the Garage Beer Co.’s Riba, which everyone (including me) is knocking back like there’s no tomorrow, as well as a selection of guest beers including Railway Porter from the UK and Taras Boulba from Beligum. It’s an excellent and unpretentious offering and I’m a happy man.
This craft beer thing, it’s serious in Barcelona.
