It was midsummer. We drove to Bluestone in Pembrokeshire for a little family break.
The air was thick and hard to breathe. Big blue skies alive with gulls that owned the streets below.
We made it to Tenby for a few hours, where we sought the shade and waded in the cool water.
We bought a paddling pool and headed home to hide in our lodge and watch Wimbledon.
The happiest of times. The glory days. Our very own little paradise.
